About Atomus
Atomus was founded in 2019 as part of a DoD initiative to research and develop cutting-edge cybersecurity for the Department of Defense.
While selling our technology to multiple branches within the Department of Defense, our military customers started asking about the NIST 800-171, DFARS 7012, ITAR, and upcoming CMMC cybersecurity requirements in our contracts. Through this process, it led us to understand the complexities that were expected of a small business to become compliant.
After speaking with dozens of vendors in search of a solution, we discovered there were many repetitive, time-consuming, and costly tasks associated with these requirements that could be automated using software.
We initially built Atomus Aegis for internal use within our company. However, we soon realized that many other small businesses encounter the same problem. As of today, Atomus is being used by almost 100 defense contractors and major customers in the Department of Defense to meet NIST 800-171, DFARS 7012, ITAR, and upcoming CMMC compliance requirements.
What is Atomus Aegis?
Atomus Aegis is a cybersecurity software that helps aerospace and defense companies comply with NIST 800-171, DFARS 7012, and CMMC cybersecurity requirements. Using Atomus Aegis is easy; it quickly downloads to endpoints, servers, and cloud environments holding defense data to make environments compliant with the requirements in defense contracts. In addition to implementing, monitoring, and maintaining your cybersecurity, Atomus also helps create the hundreds of pages of compliance documentation your customers require to prove compliance to them.
While the Aegis platform streamlines compliance by automating the implementation and documentation of technical controls, our cybersecurity experts help build your cybersecurity program, conduct quarterly reviews, and our cloud compliance platform helps track your progress.
